Responsibilities:

As a WordPress Developer, my primary responsibilities encompassed a wide range of activities related to website and content management using the WordPress platform. These included:

  1. WordPress Development:
    • Theme Customization: Tailored existing themes to better fit the visual and functional requirements of the project. This involved customizing the CSS, HTML, and sometimes PHP code to adjust layouts, colors, typography, and other design elements.
    • Plugin Management: Installed, configured, and updated various WordPress plugins to extend website functionality. This included plugins for SEO, security, social media integration, and custom forms.
    • Responsive Design Implementation: Ensured that websites were fully responsive and optimized for various devices including desktops, tablets, and smartphones, enhancing user experience and accessibility.
  2. Content Management:
    • Content Updates: Regularly updated website content to keep it fresh and relevant, which involved publishing new articles, updating existing content, and managing multimedia assets like images and videos.
    • SEO Optimization: Optimized web content for search engines, improving visibility and ranking. This included keyword research, meta tags editing, and ensuring content quality aligns with SEO best practices.
    • Performance Monitoring: Used tools like Google Analytics to monitor the site’s performance, analyze traffic data, and make informed decisions to improve user engagement and retention.
  3. Site Maintenance and Security:
    • Regular Updates: Performed regular updates of WordPress core, themes, and plugins to secure website from vulnerabilities.
    • Backup Management: Managed regular backups of website data to prevent data loss in case of server failure or other issues.
    • Troubleshooting: Addressed and resolved various site issues including plugin conflicts, broken links, and performance bottlenecks.
