Role: WordPress Developer

Responsibilities:

As a WordPress Developer, my duties were diverse and required both technical proficiency and creative skills to ensure the effective execution and maintenance of various websites. My responsibilities were segmented into three main categories: WordPress development, content development, and site maintenance.

  1. WordPress Development:
    • Theme Installation and Customization: Selected and installed appropriate WordPress themes to meet the design and functionality needs of this specific project. Customized themes by tweaking CSS, HTML, and PHP files to tailor the site’s aesthetics and functionalities to specific requirements.
    • Plugin Integration and Management: Installed and managed a wide range of WordPress plugins to extend the website’s capabilities, including SEO tools, and security plugins. Ensured plugins were regularly updated and functioning correctly to enhance site performance and security.
    • Responsive Design: Implemented responsive web design practices to ensure that websites were accessible and visually appealing on various devices, including desktops, tablets, and smartphones. Tested and adjusted layouts to ensure optimal viewing and interaction experience across all devices.
  2. Content Development:
    • SEO Optimization: Applied SEO best practices to content creation to improve visibility on search engines.
  3. Site Maintenance:
    • Regular Updates and Backups: Performed routine WordPress updates for core, themes, and plugins to secure the website from vulnerabilities. Conducted regular backups to ensure data integrity and quick recovery in case of data loss.
    • Security Enhancements: Monitored security reports and implemented security best practices.
    • Performance Optimization: Regularly checked the website’s performance by analyzing speed and usability. Implemented performance enhancements such as caching, image optimization, and database optimization to ensure fast loading times and a smooth user experience.
